How to Wash your Hair
This may sound silly, but so many of us have been washing our hair wrong the majority of our lives. But how are you supposed to know if no one has taken the time to explain the correct way and why to do it that way?
Here are some important things to remember:
If you wash only a couple times a week, be sure to wash, rinse, repeat. Oils and products can build up on the scalp causing flakes, clogged follicles, and just ick. Shampooing twice helps to remove that build up and give you hair the fresh, clean start it needs.
Concentrate shampoo at the scalp area, as you are washing and rinsing the suds will go down the hair and cleanse it.
Conditioner does not regularly need to be applied in the scalp area as we have natural oils that keep the scalp hydrated. Those natural oils are the best form of conditioner for that area. As hair gets longer and further from the scalp it needs the help of conditioner to stay hydrated and happy.
Deep condition weekly or bi-weekly. Weather outside, heating/cooling inside, heat styling, and texture of hair all play a role in the condition of our hair. Hydration plays a huge role in the health of our hair and scalp
